Is the All-Around High Point Award separate from each class award?

Yes, this is an additional award you need to register for. As soon as you paw the $5 sign up, all the points you accumulate will be tracked for this award. An All-Around award is give to each age division at the season banquet except for tiny tot.

What is a double-judge show?

These shows have two judges in the arena judging at once, and participants receive placings from both judges. This is an excellent opportunity to accumulate points by only traveling to one show. Because of the tattoo judges, class fees also double; $5 per judge for a total of $10 to enter a class.

How does SESDHSA know to track my points as a member?

At each of the shows, there are two different colored class registration cards. SESDHSA members should always use the blue cards, whereas the yellow cards are for non-members. Reminder- points do not start to accumulate until your membership dues are paid.

How do I know if a show is cancelled or postponed due to weather?

We will post any updates as soon as possible as an announcement on the website, as well as on Facebook.

Do members have any work requirements?

Members need to work an equivalent of 25 classes per season per membership. A family membership is still 25 classes total for all included in the family membership. Tasks that earn work points include working gates, setting up ribbons, bringing eggs and water, etc. Sign-ups will be made available at each show and are first come, first serve.

How do I list my horse's name?

You may use your horse's registered name OR nickname. Once you choose one, please always use that name throughout the rest of the show season. Do not switch between show names and barn names, as that makes it more difficult for the points keeper.

Can I use the same back number for every show?

Yes! Exhibitor numbers 700-799 are available for purchase for $5 and that will be your assigned number for the entire season. Once paid, you will receive an email in which you can print your exhibitor exhibitor number as many times as you would like. This makes it convenient for frequent tack changes.

Where can I go to stay up to date on all things SESDHSA?

We encourage you to utilize our Facebook page along with the Band app where we send out reminder and emergency notifications such as weather delays/cancelations.
